Yes. SitSpeak is built for independent pet-care businesses, including businesses of one. Keep bookings, visit updates, conversations, and payments together, with room to add a small team if you need one.
Can I set up my own services and prices?
Yes. Your services and optional add-ons are called offerings in SitSpeak—for example, a 30-minute dog walk or an overnight stay. Set your own prices and durations, and charge per pet or per booking.
Can I schedule regular visits?
Yes. A booking series lets you schedule recurring visits, with automatic confirmation or a review step. Adjust or skip individual upcoming visits without rebuilding the schedule, and review change requests from pet parents.
Where do care instructions and emergency contacts live?
Pet profiles hold medications, allergies, and vet contacts; home profiles hold access instructions and emergency contacts. Pet parents keep their information up to date and choose what to share with your business.
How do I keep pet parents in the loop?
Keep messages and photos in one conversation with each pet parent. After a visit, they can view your notes and photos in SitSpeak and receive an email summary. If you have a team, everyone can follow the conversation.
Do I have to create invoices myself?
No. SitSpeak creates an itemized invoice when you complete a booking, or when it’s confirmed if you enable advance invoicing. Pet parents can pay one invoice or several from your business in a single checkout.
How do card payments work?
Connect your business to Stripe to accept credit cards and manage payments, refunds, and payouts inside SitSpeak. Standard Stripe processing fees apply, with no added SitSpeak transaction fees. You can also record payments received another way.
Can I use SitSpeak on my phone?
Yes. SitSpeak works in your browser on phones, tablets, and computers. On supported devices, you can add it to your home screen for easy access between visits.
Will you keep adding features after launch?
Yes. We’ll keep improving SitSpeak with feedback from the small businesses using it. Tell us what helps, what gets in the way, and what would make your day a little easier—that’s how we’ll decide what comes next.

Hi, I’m Brian—a web developer from Boston with more than 20 years of software experience, and proud human to a beagle mix named Bonnie. I’m building SitSpeak as the first in a series of platforms for fellow small business owners who want to make a living on their own terms. My goal is to help us compete with bigger players while keeping our businesses, our customer relationships, and our livelihoods in our own hands.
There’s a lot to love about the ordinary: familiar routines, small kindnesses, and the relationships that grow along the way. I want SitSpeak to make room for those things, with useful tools, thoughtful details, and pricing that respects the work you put in.
